Come to the By George country home kitchen in West Gippsland and learn the basics of baking your own artisan sourdough at home.

This comprehensive class will cover:

  • Starter culture creation and maintenance

  • All the steps to baking white, light rye and flavoured sourdough from your home kitchen, including:

    • Mixing

    • Proofing

    • Shaping

    • Slashing

    • Oven management/baking

  • Options for baking schedules including fridge retardation for long fermentations

Other inclusions:

  • Welcome refreshments

  • Generous antipasti and a glass of something lovely to accompany our finished loaves

Minimum of three attendees required. Maximum class size is six attendees.
